Question. Was it not enough that by His death we obtain deliverance from sin, and pardon?
Answer. That was not enough, if we consider either Him or ourselves. For if He had not risen again, He could not be thought to be the Son of God, nor could He have been our Savior from death. But now rising from death to eternal life, He declares the power of His Godhead, and has showed Himself the Conqueror of sin and death, even of the Devil Himself.
