Answer. Jesus in our tongue means as much as the Saviour. For Jesus Christ, the Son of God and the Son of the Virgin, has delivered and saved us, who were held bound by wickedness and slavery in the foul bondage of the old serpent, the Devil, and were wrapped in the snares of eternal death.
