Question. What then do you have to say about the first beginning and creation of man?
Answer. What Moses wrote: that God formed the first man from clay, and breathed into him a soul and life; and afterward, while the man was cast into a sleep, He took a woman from his side and brought her into the world to join her to the man as a helper and companion in his life.

Question. Seeing that today there is in both men and women such great corruption, wickedness, and perverseness, did God create them this way from the beginning?
Answer. By no means. For God, being most perfectly good, can make nothing but good. God therefore at first made man according to His own image and likeness.
